New Year's Resolutions 2013

Okay this is a bit late but here are a few things I'd like to do this year.

- Continue healthy eating!

After eating very healthy for the past 8 days I know this is something I want (and need) to continue. I feel a lot better after going gluten free, cutting way back on dairy and cutting out almost all sugar and food coloring.

- Make exercise a habit.

Walking, running, something. I'd like to get in the habit of exercising several times a week.

-Lose weight

At 175 I need to lose weight. I'd like to get pregnant this year but I'd hate to start a pregnancy at 175. My goal is 140.

- Read the Bible cover to cover

I'm starting a Bible study this week with the plan to read through the Bible as a class.

- Speak as much Spanish as possible

This is hard for me since I'm not fluent. It's just so much easier to speak English but I'm forcing myself to speak to my husband in Spanish. I know this will pay off in the long run even if it takes a lot of trial and error in the beginning. Let me put it this way: J is in a Spanish class now. By the time fall rolls around I want C to already know so much Spanish he will have no need for a Spanish immersion class.

- RUN a 5k!

Depending on if/when I get pregnant this might not happen but we'll see...

- Minimize our household items

- Learn to manage my time

- Paint every room in our house

- Learn a lot about photography!

What are your goals for the New Year?

  2. I can totally relate on the making time to exercise and eat right. I've just started tracking my calories on a high-tech (not) little notepad - ha ha! It's so hard when you have little ones, and you just eat and graze when you can. Best wishes on getting pregnant. I always wanted to lose weight before adding more pregnancy weight as well. But we're totally done having kids. :)

  3. Thanks so much, Karen, for responding to my Prayer Requests post. I'll definitely keep you uplifted in general. Also, I wanted to tell you that you are a "no reply blogger," meaning I can't contact you through the comments you leave me. I have to go back to your blog and leave a comment, rather than clicking on your {comment} name and reaching your email. You can fix this by changing your settings. I had to Google "how to fix being a no reply blogger" to fix mine. You don't know you're one unless someone points it out - I had a few kind people point it out to me. It's an easy fix. Let me know if you have any questions!!

    XO,
    Meredith
