Myrtle Beach, Part 2

It's taken me a while to get the second day of our Myrtle Beach trip up. We went down there in early March (you can see the photos of our first day here). The first day (Saturday) was freezing cold on the beach but that Sunday was bright, sunny and absolutely beautiful!

 I love this pic of S with one pant leg rolled up and one down ha!

My friend took this pic of her playing in the sand. We went back and changed into swimsuits after awhile because it was getting so warm.

The little girls had fun playing in the sand with their friend! They're already arguing over who's going to marry him when they grow up hahaha!

 The whole group of us.

This was actually early Sunday morning. S feel asleep Saturday night looking through her Bible. I didn't even know she had packed it until I saw it laying open beside her the next morning. She can't read a word but loves her Bible. <3 font="" nbsp="">

After a few hours down at the beach we came back to our friends' condo for a quick lunch before packing up and heading home. The weather was so gorgeous.. it was hard to leave right in the middle of the day.. but we needed to get home early Sunday evening. We had such a fun time!! It was so nice going to the beach after a long, cold winter. It was the perfect way to start off spring!

I'm linking up with Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop today.

Myrtle Beach, Day 1

We had such a great time in Myrtle Beach with friends! We didn't get away until around 7 that Friday evening and got in around midnight but luckily our friends our night owls and didn't seem to mind

The kids didn't sleep 4 in a row but I had to get a pic of them all laying side by side! I asked C if he was happy to be at the beach and he said he was happy to be at the beach but not happy to be in a bed with three girls haha!

 Our friends had a yummy breakfast for us Saturday morning!

After breakfast we headed to the heated pools! L went right in, all by herself, right after I put her puddle jumper on! I'm so glad! The past couple summers have been crazy with her sensory issues but by the end of last summer she was doing amazing! I had been a little worried that we might have to start all over this summer but looks like she's a little fish for life! I hope so!

S had a lot of fun too!

I just love the "3" in the pic since L is three ha! She loved playing on the steps with her little buckets.

The big kids LOVED the water slides! I think they could've stayed all day! S actually went down with my friend twice and then (I was shocked!) but L wanted to go down with my friend too. I couldn't believe it! She hit her head at the end when she was standing up so she didn't want to go again but I was so impressed that she wanted to go at all! She loves our friend so much that she only wanted to go with her and not with me. Haha!

After the pools we went back up to the condo for lunch then headed down to the beach. It was freezing on Saturday but the kids had fun looking for shells, shark teeth and building sand castles.

We didn't stay on the beach for a super long time Saturday. We came back after an hour or so for naps and quiet time while J and G ran to Wal-Mart for stuff to make tacos and a few other things. J made the best tacos for dinner that evening!

This is the view from the our friends' window.. looking to the left a bit! Such a beautiful view to wake up to!!

Disney!

{via Google}

We're planning our first trip to Disney this fall! We've been promising the kids a trip to Disney for years and this fall seems like the perfect time! Honestly, I'm not a huge Disney fan myself and I haven't been that excited about it. I even tried to convince the kids to go on a non-Disney cruise instead but at least 2 weren't going to be swayed ha! So we're planning a week long trip to Florida with 2 days at Disney, 1 day at Lego Land and a couple days at the beach or just hanging out. Two days at Disney might sound far too short for some but I think that will be about all we can handle.. especially for our first trip.

I love planning vacations (I'm already planning the trip we hope to go on next year too ha!) so I'm already gathering all the info I can. Our goal is to budget while seeing as much as we can during 2 days at Disney. I've gotten lots of advice both ways but we're leaning towards park hopper tickets. Magic Kingdom is a must! The guys have to see Star Wars at Hollywood Studios and it really sounds like a really fun park to me too. I think we'll all enjoy it. I've heard great things about Epcot and Alex is dying to do some space stuff (?) over there. One suggestion I've gotten is to head to one park early in the morning, back to the Airbnb (hopefully we find one really close!) for lunch and relaxing. Then back to a second park around dinner time. From what I hear I think 3-4 parks is doable in two days.. but maybe that's crazy.. I don't know. We aren't huge on rides but plan to get fast passes.

Anyway, I would love any and all tips for Disney!! What shows are must sees? Best time of day to be at a park? Budget friendly ideas? (We are planning to bring our own food in.) Best places to watch fireworks? Any quiet places to sit and relax for while? Suggestions on gift shops outside of Disney where we can get fun Disney stuff at a bargain?

We have a 3 year old girl who loves Minnie and horses! A tomboy 5 year old girl who likes Princess Belle, really loves Lilo and Stitch and loves turtles. An 8 year old boy who likes Star Wars, science and all things boyish. A 10 year old girl who is kind of outgrowing the little kid stuff but will probably love a little of everything! Suggestions on things each might like would be great!? And suggestions on what to avoid?

Obviously I have tons of questions! I guess I am getting a little excited about it ha! Even if I'm not a huge Disney fan it'll be fun watching the kids experience it and I suspect I may enjoy it a lot more than I think I will!

Sea World! {Part 2}

After the Shama show we watched the "Azul" show. It was pretty good. A lot more to see, actually, than the Shamu show.

I snapped a few cellphone pics of the kids and I. I know my husband has tons of pictures on his phone too but I haven't taken the time to go through those. He takes pretty good cellphone pics too so he has some great shots of the shows and everything. Oh well.

After the "Azul" show we went over the shark aquarium. C was pretty excited to see real sharks. Ha!

The aquarium was pretty dark so it was hard to get pictures but here's one shark. :)

I liked the round window and like the way this picture came out.

After the sharks we had to stop by the dolphin pool one last time. We were hoping to pet them again but they didn't swim close enough. J and I could've stood there all day. The dolphins are so fun and cute to watch.

A few family pics before we left.

I forgot to mention the weather was absolutely perfect the day we went! This is the second time I've been to San Antonio in October and I think it's the perfect time of year to go.

By the time we left Sea World we were starving and exhausted. I don't think Five Guys has ever tasted SO good!

J drew this in her little notebook as soon as we left Sea World. I think I helped her with the tail but she did a pretty good job. :) She loves to draw and she's getting better all the time.

Even though it was a quick trip we had a great time at Sea World! The kids are ready to go back again!

Seaworld! {Part 1}

We spent most of the day Saturday at Sea World (Again, this was back in October. I'm just really late  posting these pics.)

I made an appointment for the kids to pet and feed a dolphin. J was thrilled! But C wouldn't pet it (and this is the kid who was petting sting rays at the aquarium last year while J wouldn't touch them) but both kids threw a fish in for the dolphin to eat. This dolphin was named Yoyo and J is still talking about her. I'm so glad she had this experience. She loves dolphins and I know she'll remember this for a long time. :)

 I love this pic!

 I snapped this one of the three dolphins with my cellphone. I wish it was a little clearer but I was so happy to get a good shot of them doing something "cute". :)

We were at Sea World right before Halloween and there were several characters dressed up passing out treats. We were surprised to find all natural dried fruit snacks in these bags! My kids love them and they're so much better than candy.

 The Shamu show!

 I loved watching my kids' faces as they watched each show. They loved it!

Posing by a Shamu statue. C had to lift up his Shamu toy.... after the Shamu show he was really proud of that toy. Ha! :) It's funny how both kids are looking off here... they're were people everywhere so they were really distracted.
