catching up

I'm way behind in posts and pictures. We went to San Antonio last weekend but I wanted to try and catch up a little before I post those pictures.

These are cellphone pics so not the best quality. We painted the dining room a few weeks ago. I let the kids "help" paint for about 5 minutes.

This isn't the best picture but here's the dining room afterwards. I have had the hardest time trying to find a nice gray color. I thought I was choosing gray for our entry way and a hallway back in the spring but it turned out to be very blueish. Same story with our living room this summer and again with the dining room this fall! I actually like blue but really wanted gray. I guess we'll stick with blue for now just because I don't feel like going through the hassle and expense of repainting right now.

I found these ugly little pumpkins at the Dollar Tree and knew I wanted to paint them.

Another blogger recommended Rust-Oleum spray paint as her favorite so I decided to give it a try.

I really love how they turned out! They're so much cuter and more fun now!

We've also been painting the kids' bedrooms but I'll post more about that later. Once we're done with their rooms we need to tackle the kitchen and the kids' bathroom. I really hope to have all that done before the baby gets here.

  1. I never would have thought of painting the pumpkins like that, but they turned out to be just adorable! I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for something at the store next time I head in!

  3. Grey is hard! I painted our room grey, and it turned out a purply color... :/
